Rumors are starting to swirl about what new goodies Apple might announce this month. New editions of the various iPod lines, a new iTunes, possibly new MacBooks, etc.
One of the interesting suggestions is that the rumored iTunes 8.0 will include some form of collaborative filtering or other suggestion engine using the vast amount of information to which Apple has access about what music people like.
This prediction is that the following will take place during September, 2008:
* iTunes 8.0 will be announced
* iTunes 8.0 will include a recommendation feature that uses information about what music a user either purchases or listens to and makes suggestions of additional music to purchase based on the purchasing or listening habits of other iTunes users.*.

* Note: There currently exists a "Just for You" feature which makes recommendations based on purchase history. This would not fulfill the requirements for this prediction.
Note: The close date has been set to September 8th. The most commonly-rumored date for an Apple "event" is September 9th. If Apple announces a signficant event for some other date this close date should be adjusted accordingly.
