With all the pressures of significant loss of market value, failed merger, abandoned Google deal, yet-to-be done deal with Time Warner on AOL, it was inevitable. On November 17, it was announced that Jerry Yang has decided to step down as CEO and the search for the replacement CEO has commenced. Sue Decker has been mentioned as a potential candidate but chances are that they are looking for someone not currently associated with Yahoo. Dan Rosensweig has been mentioned as a likely candidate. A former president of CNET and former COO of Yahoo, Dan has the experience to take on the position.

Arun Sarin has been recently mentioned as well.

PREDICTION: Dan Rosensweig or Arun Sarin becomes next Yahoo CEO. For favorable judgment, Dan or Arun has to offered the position which he accepts by end of March 2009.
