Recent oil price crisis driving US automakers to deal with decreased demands for gas guzzler brands. Now, Chrysler is also experiencing an increase chance of default on its obligations and is running low on cash for operational expenses. Timely federal aid may not be possible.
PREDICTION: Chrysler to file for bankruptcy protection by end of 2008.
