Apple has finally introduced television show downloads in Canada, offering shows from a range of Canadian networks, as well as from U.S. broadcasters.

Shows cost C$1.99 (US$1.96) in Canada. The available catalogue includes Corner Gas, Little Mosque on the Prairie, South Park and NHL Games of the Year.

"We're thrilled to bring television programming to the iTunes Store in Canada in time for the holiday season," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of iTunes. "We're off to a great start with hit shows from CBC, CTV, Comedy Central and MTV Networks, along with the best of classic and current NHL action."

The move means Apple now offers television shows in three English-speaking countries: the U.S., U.K. and Canada.
