Wonderful idea. Don't know why this hasn't been a journalistic standard to date. I think I'll follow suit next time I write. I believe all sides benefit: the integrity of the writer/reporter/news organization, the sources, and most importantly, the news "consumer", or more commonly known as the reader ;)

Yes I agree as well, there is no news, no information, nobody I addressed answered, just the same bureaucratic BS, nobody wants to say anything. Something needs to be done, I want my money back as well.

@armondu not exactly. from a game portal perspective, it is very similar to kongregate - casual game players can come to play user generated games.

but it goes much deeper than that. sharendipity provides the tools to build games. either original titles from scratch or through the customization of games created by others in the community. the environment is aimed at democratizing the tools for game creation for everyone - not just programmers.

the content is totally portable. in the future, game creators will have the opportunity to distribute their work on other sites such as the ones you mentioned.

The Lively Users (Livelyzens

The Lively Users (Livelyzens as we call ourselves) are coming together to appeal to Google to keep Lively alive.

Lively is a great platform for interaction as well as creativity. It is easy to use, browser based, embeddable on your wesbite to bring a 3D experience right on your website. Though being beta, it has limited capability in terms of the objects and avatars available, the Livelyzens have been able to come up with very creative ways to create art from what is available. All this in a "clean" 3D world thanks to Google's vigilance in getting rid of rooms with inappropriate content. And more than anything, Lively has become a place to make friends for life - from all over the world with wonderful people.

While we are just starting to pull together our appeal plan, a preliminary website has been set up:
http://livelyzens.com and we plan to voice our opinion and suggestions through our blog, machinima vidoes on our youtube channel and more.

We request the netizens to support us in reviving a wonderful 3D world that is both kid friendly as well has provides a creative space for art and interaction amongst adults.

Isn't it just like conkregate and XPOgames.com ?

They're are all game development broadcasting networks...youtube for casual games aren't they?

Different movie I think. Waiting to see it are you going to see it. Not a blood seeking horror movie.

I am SO sick of blog-boobs

I am SO sick of blog-boobs who only care about FIRST, regardless of how stupid or error-ridden or source-dictated or plain old foolish they may be. Who gives a **** if you are FIRST when your information is devoid of context, or authority or frakking accuracy? Build a ski-lift and get over yourself. I would MUCH rather wait, oh, an hour or so, for RELIABLE and MEANINGFUL and ACCURATE posts.

Lori Drew's case is about cyberbullying. An institution like a library or a school, which provides patrons, students or guests access to the Internet, has plentiful incentive to stamp out cyberbullying. --Ben

Nyorican: I don't see how a peaceful rally can be considered "thuggery." Can you cite any instances of violence being directed at onlookers or counter-demonstrators at any location?

Also, what do you mean by "homosexuals will be the first to suffer?"

Ian,
I like this idea. I have tried this in the past with "stories" that I've written that are more compilations than actual stories, and the sources that I link to have typically been very appreciative of the credit. Seems like there may be just a little too much "borrowing" of ideas and content these days.

I'll be interested to see if this catches on.
